The base model engine is an efficient 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine. However, all other models come with the more powerful 2.5-liter 182 hp engine. Both engines come paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), the perfect companion for a Subaru Boxer engine. A manual transmission is no longer an option, but you likely won't miss it because you'll enjoy all the high-tech driver assistance technology that is unavailable with a manual transmission. Other standard off-road features include 8.7-inches of ground clearance, Hill Descent Control, and a Dual-function X-MODE with selectable driving modes for snow, dirt, and mud conditions.
