A Promise of Community, A Promise of Heart - Felicia R

Love isn't always spoken. Sometimes, it's shown through kindness, generosity, and the promise to stand beside a community when it matters most. That promise came to life at this year's Yakima Mile. McCurley Subaru of Yakima, alongside many generous sponsors, made a commitment that went far beyond supporting a race. They invested in people. They believed in bringing neighbors together, celebrating athletes of every age and ability, and creating opportunities to make a lasting difference throughout the Yakima Valley. The Yakima Mile team shared their heartfelt gratitude: "On behalf of the Yakima Mile team, thank you so much for your generous support and commitment to making this year's event a success. The Yakima Mile would not be possible without the incredible support of our sponsors. Your partnership helps us bring the community together, celebrate athletes of all ages and abilities, and continue supporting meaningful causes in our community. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participants, and community members, we were able to raise over $35,000 for Miles Against Violence (MAV), benefiting the YWCA Yakima. Your support played an important role in helping us make a positive impact and continue raising awareness and resources for this important cause. Your partnership goes beyond the event itself—it helps create an experience that brings people together, celebrates our community, and supports organizations making a difference. We truly appreciate your investment in the Yakima Mile and your commitment to the Yakima community. Thank you again for being a valued partner. We are grateful for your support and look forward to continuing this partnership in the future." That message reflects something bigger than sponsorship—it reflects a promise. A promise that when a community comes together, incredible things happen. A promise that every step taken during the Yakima Mile represents hope, compassion, and support for those who need it most. A promise that businesses like McCurley Subaru of Yakima, together with fellow sponsors, aren't simply supporting an event—they're helping build a stronger, safer, and more connected Yakima. Love is more than a feeling. It's action. It's commitment. It's showing up year after year. And that's a promise worth celebrating.

Polo for Pegasus sponsored by McCurley Subaru of Yakima - Felicia H

On a golden Spring afternoon in Yakima, the fields came alive with the rhythmic thunder of hooves and the laughter of families gathered for the 2026 Polo for Pegasus. But this wasn't just a polo match — it was a celebration of hope, healing, and horsepower with heart. At the center of it all is Pegasus Project, a premier affiliated center with Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.). On a mission to sprinkle horse-powered joy across the Yakima Valley, Pegasus serves children and adults with special needs through transformative equine programs. Their Superstar Programs make magic happen every day: • Therapeutic Riding Lessons that build strength, confidence, and independence. • Pony Pals, where gentle horses gallop into local nursing homes to brighten residents' days. • EAC (Equine Assisted Counseling), helping individuals process emotions and find healing through connection. • Life Skills Programs designed for local SPED high schoolers, preparing them for brighter, more independent futures. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Pegasus relies on the generosity of the community to keep their horses happy and their programs thriving. Events like Polo for Pegasus aren't just elegant afternoons on the field — they are lifelines that sustain their magical journey. That's where McCurley Subaru of Yakima stepped in. Through Subaru's Love Promise commitment, McCurley Subaru of Yakima believes in more than driving great vehicles — they believe in driving positive change. By sponsoring the 2026 Polo for Pegasus, they helped ensure that saddles stayed secure, hay barns stayed full, and children and adults across the Yakima Valley continued to experience the life-changing power of horses. Their support meant more scholarships for riders. More visits from Pony Pals to smiling seniors. More counseling sessions filled with breakthroughs. More life skills lessons that empower students to dream big. As spectators cheered and polo players charged down the field, there was something deeper happening beyond the match. Every ticket purchased, and every sponsorship pledged — especially from McCurley Subaru of Yakima — carried forward a promise of inclusion, compassion, and joy. For Pegasus, community support and sponsorships truly are a "neigh-sayer's" dream come true. And for McCurley Subaru of Yakima, this partnership was more than a sponsorship — it was a Love Promise in action. A promise to uplift local nonprofits. A promise to invest in programs that transform lives. A promise to keep hope galloping forward. Because when a community comes together with open hearts and helping hands, even the smallest riders can feel like they're flying.

Cowiche Canyon Rocks Outdoor Garden Party and Auction - Felicia H

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Yakima Area Arboretum, guests gathered among blooming gardens, soft music, and the quiet hum of a community united for a cause bigger than themselves. As each raised paddle represented more than a donation, it was a promise to protect the canyon's trails, wildlife, and natural beauty for future generations. McCurley Subaru of Yakima got the pleasure of joining the Cowiche Canyon Rocks Outdoor garden party and Auction and proudly supported their efforts, reinforcing their dedication to being more than a dealership. They are a neighbor, a partner, and a steward of the community. The evening became a reflection of what the Love Promise truly means: showing up, giving back, and nurturing the places and people that make a community thrive.

Subaru Loves the Earth - Felicia H

In March, as winter slowly loosened its grip on Yakima, something hopeful began to take root at McCurley Subaru of Yakima. It wasn't just the promise of spring- it was a promise to the Earth, and the community. As part of the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, McCurley Subaru of Yakima partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to bring a simple but powerful idea to life: small actions today can grow into a greener, healthier tomorrow. Together, they provided 105 trees to local community members, each one a symbol of renewal, care, and shared responsibility. What made this moment special wasn't just the number of trees but the connection. People are not just planting for themselves, but for future generations, for their neighbors, and for the planet. McCurley Subaru of Yakima didn't just hand out trees; they helped cultivate a sense of purpose and unity. As the seasons change, those 105 trees will grow taller and stronger, just like the community that plants them. And long after March has passed, their leaves will whisper a lasting love promise: that when people come together with intention and care, they can truly make the world a better place- one tree at a time.

Subaru & Operation Warm keeping the community warm - Felicia H

Subaru Love Promise – Operation Warm with Salvation Army At McCurley Subaru of Yakima, we are committed to supporting our community when it matters most. In January, we partnered with the Salvation Army for Subaru Operation Warm, helping local children stay safe and comfortable during the winter months. Through this effort, we were able to provide over 300 essential items, including coats, shoes, and socks, to children and families in need throughout our community. Each item represented more than just warmth—it brought comfort, confidence, and care to those who needed it most. This event was a meaningful way for our team to live out the Subaru Love Promise by Loving Our Community and Loving the Customer, and it reinforced our commitment to making a positive, lasting impact right here in Yakima.

McCurley Subaru of Yakima Spreads Hope - Tovi E

On June 25th, McCurley Subaru of Yakima partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and North Star Lodge Providence through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. This partnership involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. This year, McCurley Subaru of Yakima will also support the LLS Urgent Need Program, Pediatric, which will provide 10 pediatric blood cancer patient households with financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc. It was an amazing delivery day filled with kindness and connection. Through McCurley Subaru of Yakima participation in these programs, it shows they care. McCurley Subaru of Yakima consistently shows up and shows out for their community, and that impact was felt on the delivery day. North Star Lodge Providence was a joy to work with, and we were so happy they were the recipients of McCurley Subaru of Yakima donation this year. We are so grateful to work and live in a community that takes care of one another. Thank you, McCurley Subaru of Yakima and thank you North Star Lodge Providence for being firm in your mission to help others.

It’s Not Just a Blanket, It’s a Reminder You’re Not Alone - Justin H

At McCurley Subaru of Yakima, we believe showing up matters. On June 25th, our team brought 80 warm blankets, 30 patient care kits, and handwritten messages of hope to North Star Lodge at MultiCare Cancer Institute. North Star Lodge is not just some medical building. It is where families from Yakima and beyond come when life gets hard. With Yakima’s poverty rate close to 19 percent and more than a quarter of kids growing up below the poverty line, a cancer diagnosis hits even harder here. We are not there to fix everything, but we can show up and do something small that helps make those hard days feel a little lighter. North Star Lodge has been leading cancer care in Central Washington for decades. They offer radiation therapy, infusion care, clinical trials, and support services like counseling and nutrition help, all right here in town. People come from all over, but it still feels local. When we dropped off the blankets and care kits, it was not about making a big deal. It felt more like showing up for your neighbors. That is what the Subaru Love Promise means to us. It is not about making a big deal out of it. It is about showing up, offering a little encouragement, and reminding people they are not doing this alone. Sometimes a warm blanket or a kind message is exactly what someone needs that day.

McCurley Subaru of Yakima Supports YWCA of Yakima - Joshua S

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Tri-Cities, this is a harsh reality. Coats, Shoe,s Sock,s and Hope - Justin H

At McCurley Subaru of Yakima, we believe every child deserves to feel warm, safe, and cared for. This winter, we proudly partnered with YWCA Yakima to bring that belief to life through Operation Warm, a heartfelt initiative that provided 252 new coats, 252 pairs of shoes, and 504 pairs of socks to local families in need. As temperatures dropped, our teams loaded up Subaru vehicles and delivered not just essential items but comfort, dignity, and hope across the Yakima Valley. YWCA Yakima’s unwavering commitment to empowering families deeply inspired us. Their team works daily to support survivors, uplift communities, and create brighter futures, and we’re honored to play a part in their mission. This partnership is a reminder that even one act of kindness can ripple through a community and that together, we can make a lasting impact.
